Vaping is the act of inhaling vapour produced by an electronic device that heats e-liquid into vapour.

Beginner-friendly pod kits are usually the best option. They are simple, low maintenance, and work well with 50/50 e-liquids.

It depends on your vaping style, nicotine strength, and whether you prefer a simple starter kit or a more advanced device with higher vapour production.

E-liquids (vape juice) are used in vape devices and usually contain flavourings, propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG), and sometimes nicotine. When heated, they turn into vapour.

Higher strengths suit heavier smokers, while lower strengths are better for lighter users or those wanting a smoother experience.

Freebase nicotine gives a stronger throat hit, while nicotine salts provide a smoother inhale and faster nicotine absorption.

Yes, but it’s not always recommended as it can change flavour, nicotine strength, and overall performance.

This can happen due to coil wear, residue build-up, temperature changes, or leftover flavours in the tank.

Coils are the heating element in a vape that turns e-liquid into vapour. They wear out over time and need replacing when flavour or vapour drops.

Pods are containers that hold e-liquid and usually contain the coil. They click into pod devices and can be refillable or prefilled.

A vape kit is a complete device package that usually includes a battery and either a tank or pod system, ready to use.

Different vape kits suit different styles:
• Starter MTL pod kits – Simple, low-power devices for mouth-to-lung vaping, ideal for beginners.
• Sub-ohm kits – More powerful devices for large vapour production and direct-to-lung vaping.
• Pen-style kits – Slim, easy-to-use devices that sit between starter and sub-ohm kits.
• Mods – Advanced adjustable devices offering full control over settings.
• Prefilled pod kits – Low-maintenance systems using ready-filled pods with no refilling needed.

This is usually caused by a dead coil, poor connection, low battery, or blocked airflow.

This happens when excess e-liquid is present in the coil and is heated unevenly.

Blocked airflow is usually caused by condensation, overfilling, or debris inside the airflow channel.

This is often caused by high wattage, chain vaping, or using the wrong e-liquid for your coil type.

Coils cannot be properly reused once worn out, but they can sometimes be lightly cleaned to remove residue and slightly extend performance. However, they will still need replacing when flavour or vapour drops or a burnt taste appears.

It should be snug but not over-tightened, as overtightening can damage seals and cause leaks.

New devices can leak due to factory pressure changes, slight seal misalignment, or liquid entering the airflow system during first use.

Temperature and pressure changes can cause e-liquid to expand and move more easily through the airflow system.

When left on its side, gravity allows e-liquid to move into the coil and airflow system, increasing the chance of leaking.

This is usually caused by leftover liquid still trapped in the airflow or coil area.

Light cleaning every few days and a deeper clean weekly helps maintain performance and reduce build-up and leaking.

Replace the coil, ensure it is properly primed, and avoid using excessively high wattage.

Replace it when flavour drops, vapour decreases, or you notice a burnt or muted taste.

Vaping is widely considered less harmful than smoking, but it is not risk-free, nicotine is addictive and is intended for adult users only.

It is not recommended to leave vaping devices charging unattended or overnight.

Some devices allow it, but it is generally safer to avoid doing so unless the manufacturer states otherwise.

High wattage settings, chain vaping, and ageing batteries can all reduce battery life.

This is usually a safety feature triggered by overheating, low battery, or coil resistance issues.
