ECIGW Ltd is the controller and responsible for your personal data (collectively referred to as “VapeShop”, “vapeshop.co.uk”, “we” and “our” in this privacy notice.
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance.

How do we use your information

Age Verification
It is against the law to sell any electronic cigarette products to under 18’s.
Who we share your information with*
Where you have asked us to provide an age restricted product or service, we may share your information with age verification providers, to ensure that you are of age to purchase out products.
One Account Mobile Limited (1account):
If you purchase from any of our Marketplace stores, then we will use VerifyMyAge to ensure you are old enough to purchase our products. VerifyMyAge are an established and trusted age verification provider in the UK, and are able to verify your age in a matter of minutes. They will not run a credit check and you can rest-assured that your personal information is in trusted hands. They are used by a host of well-established companies, including eBay, who use their services for all of their ager verification checks.
At times the age verification check may fail or be referred. In these scenarios we could request passport/driving license details from you to re-check your details manually against the relevant database to verify age. If you do not wish to release this information to us we can cancel and refund your order.
IQOS (Philip Morris Limited):
For the registration of the IQOS 3 Duo Device (Starter Kit), we need to use personal information, including but not limited to Name and Email Address. This information will be shared with IQOS (Philip Morris Limited). This is necessary to ensure warranty/guarantees/product registrations are recorded. IQOS (Philip Morris Limited) may retain relevant data for the purpose of future purchases. All data processed by IQOS (Philip Morris Limited) is subject to appropriate security measures. Data retained by IQOS (Philip Morris Limited) is subject to periodic review to ensure it is not held for longer than necessary.

Marketing
We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising.
Marketing from us
We may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage and Profile Data to form a view on what we think you may want or need, or what may be of interest to you. This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing).
You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or purchased goods or services from us and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

Where you opt out of receiving these marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of a product/service purchase, warranty registration, product/service experience or other transactions.

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you wish to get an explanation as to how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us.
If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is required or permitted by law.
Who might we share your information with
We may share your personal data with the parties set out below for the purposes set out in the table above.
Our service providers
We work with suppliers and agencies so they can process your personal information on our behalf. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions For example, our logistic service providers ship your orders. As a result, we provide them details of your order and delivery information.
Our retail stores
We might share your personal information with retail stores. This is so they can provide you with their services. For example, promotions and offers at your nearest store.
Other organisations and individuals:
We may transfer your personal information to other organisations in certain scenarios. For example:
- If required to by law, under any code of practice by which we are bound or we are asked to do so by a public or regulatory authority such as the Police or the Department for Work and Pensions;

Keeping you informed about our products and services
We would like to tell you about news, offers, products and services of VapeShop from time to time, but only if you have previously agreed to receive these marketing communications. When you purchase with us we will ask if you would like to receive marketing communications, and you can change your marketing choices via My Account or by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ on the emails you receive, or by contacting hello@vapeshop.co.uk.
We may do this through the post, by email, text message, online, using social media, push notifications via apps, or by any other electronic means. We won't send you marketing messages if you tell us not to but we might send you occasional service-related messages.
About Vapeshop Rewards
We run a loyalty scheme called vapeshop rewards. That means that you earn points every time you shop with us, review a product or share our scheme. The points can then be spent with us online. We use your purchased history to personalise the offers we send to you and to understand a bit more about the kind of shopper you are.
International Transfers
We do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”).Data security

Access and correction of your personal information
You have the right to access the personal information that we hold about you in many circumstances. This is sometimes called a 'Subject Access Request'. If we agree that we are obliged to provide personal information to you, we will provide it to you within one month. Occasionally, it may take us longer than one month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests, in this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
