Review: Aspire RiiL X Vape Kit
Introducing the new RiiL Vape Kit, the latest and greatest kit by world-renowned vape manufacturer, Aspire. This kit has been a hot topic in the vape world since its release. If you want to know if the Aspire RiiL Kit is worth all of the hype, then continue reading as we thoroughly review the many features of this kit, including the battery life, charging time, pods, coils and design.
Package & Contents
First of all, the Aspire RiiL Kit includes:
- The Riil X Device & Metal Chain/Lanyard
- 1 x 2 ml Riil X Refillable Pod
- 1 x AF 0.6 ohms Mesh Coil
- 1 x AF 1.0 ohm Mesh Coil
- USB-C Cable
- User Manual
Battery Life & Performance
The 700mAh battery may put people off, especially when other smaller pod kits have larger ones. For example, the Vinci Q by VooPoo offers a whopping 900mAh battery. However, the 700mAh battery proves impressive as it can go for around three to four hours without losing even half of the charge.
On top of that, the fast-charging feature makes it superior to other vape kits. The 2A charging means after about 20 minutes of charging, the indicator light will be back to green. So, while this device does have a slightly smaller battery compared to some other kits on the market, Aspire makes up for it with the lightning-fast 2A charging.
Pods & Coils
The pod itself is made of a PCTG material, therefore is quite strong. This means it shouldn’t need to be replaced unless it begins to leak e-liquid through a crack, or can no longer hold the coil securely in place. In this case, you will be able to purchase the Aspire Riil X Replacement Pod at Vape Shop.
The mouthpiece is ergonomically designed, therefore it fits nicely between your lips, and the pod is held in place by two ultra-strong magnets which prevents it from detaching from the device.
Filling from the side is easier than ever, and the crystal-clear material of the pod means you can monitor your e-liquid levels; the transparency of the pod prevents dry burns.
The AF coils are press-fit and have a mesh build for denser flavour. They are available in both 0.6Ω (ohm) and 1.0Ω (ohm) resistance, so you get to choose between thicker clouds or a discreet vapour production.
Each coil is included, so you can easily decide which one you prefer at the time of vaping. The coils can last between 10 days and two weeks without having to be changed.
We recommend pairing the Riil X pod kit with e-liquids which have a PG content of 50% or higher; this includes nicotine salts and 50/50 e-liquids. These juices go well with both coil resistances. However, if you pair the Riil X kit with high-VG juices, this may lead to burnt coils.
Design
The Aspire Riil X is a matchbox-style pod kit with a luggage-inspired shape, comprising a metallic chassis and a sturdy plastic pod.
The Riil X is made of a reinforced Zinc Alloy material, with rounded corners and a metal loop on one side, which holds the dangly Aspire logo tag and attaches to the included chain lanyard. The front and back of the device have indentations which replicate a real suitcase. You can choose between two colours - silver or gold.
The adjustable airflow switch is on the opposite side of the device; this can be set from fully closed to partially open to fully open, so you have the option of switching between MTL and RDTL vaping styles just like that.
The charging port is located on the bottom of the device, and the LED light can be found inside the Aspire logo along the bottom front of the Riil X’s body. This light will glow green, blue, or red to indicate the current battery capacity.
Conclusion
The Aspire Riil X pod kit is an excellent vape kit that ticks all the boxes. The impressive features covered in this blog such as the battery and performance, the pods and coils and the design all make it worth every penny and we definitely recommend giving it a try for yourself! On top of this, Aspire have announced that the RiiL Kit could become available in a limited edition 24k gold-plated version in the near future!
